I am so excited I finished my biscornu tonight! I think it turned out pretty good for a first attempt. Here are some pics:
The pictures are all over the place, sorry!! But I am done! Yay my first finish for 2010, feels good! It was not too hard to do, finishing the closing was a bit challenging but overall I enjoyed it.
I dismantled one of muy kids teddy bears that was heading out for donation to stuff this project. My hubby was mortified but my kids won't even notice so I didn't feel bad at all. I have a pic of the teddy and his open wound but since I am having pic problems tonight it may have to wait for another post. Good night all!!

Looks great!! I think it was a great idea to reuse the teddy, especially when it was on it's way out already :)
ReplyDeleteAwww!!! I love it!!! I have been on the fence of making a pin cushion, but I think that you just gave me the push to make one!!!! And as for the Teddy just think you still have a piece of him.. :) Great Job!
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful!! And I got to see the real deal :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful job, Lorilee--and I love the black and white. How great that you thought of using the old stuffing from the bear :)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteYour piece turned out beautiful. Sometimes you just have to get in there and go for it.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to blog world.

Oh that is hilarious - something I would do! I've undone pillows for the stuffing before so I know the passion within. LOL Great biscornu. I've only made one - they are so pretty.
